*** PJs Party ***
To be perfectly honest, I've neglected my diary for a few dayz now. So, I'm having a hard time remembering what it was that I did on Saturday... Oh geez! It was PJs birthday! How could I forget? Ok, So (start over)this morning I went to IHOP to meet the other members of my group for my Educational Psychology class. Our particular presentation has to be about "classroom assesment". *snore* Well, as it turns out my group had some great ideas (I for one, didn't read the chapter, so I had to sort of wing it, but that wasn't my fault. I only got paid yesterday and before that i could not afford the book). So, we got our little group project all planed out and I headed over to my Ed Psych professor's clinical office to help out with PJs 1st birthday party. My psych professor is a learning and attention disorder's specialist. PJ is his therapy puppy :-) Don't ask me how, but this puppy is trained to help children with learning disabilities. (if you're really interested, there will be a special about my professor and his animals on PAX this Friday night at about 7:30 I think). So, anyway, it was PJ (the Golden Retriever) and 40 children with assorted disorders like ADHD and Tourett's Syndrome, a BBQ, a doggy birthday cake and a magic show. The whole thing was tres cute! And, I had a TON of fun helping out. The kids were so cute, especially at the magic show! Adorable, I tell you! And, my professor is actually quite the magician. He actually made his own therapy bunny disappear :-) But, luckily he brought it back too! So, all in all I had a really fun day. I gotta get to studyin' now, though. More tomorrow.
